With a Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Waterloo, I am a professionally-trained and qualified art therapist. I will guide you through the creative and analytical process in a non-judgmental atmosphere.
My focus is on personal empowerment, spiritual well-being, finding joy in daily life, mindfulness principles in therapeutic practice, and facilitating spontaneous art expression. I have a private art therapy practice in mid-Toronto (Avenue Rd. and St. Clair) where I work with people of all ages. I also conduct workshops for medical and social facilities, women’s groups, high schools and corporations.
There are dynamic and results-oriented workshops I can make available to you, posted on this website as they are scheduled. Working in groups provides a forum for learning and reflection that is enhanced by each others’ energy. I enjoy that energy, meeting new people, and facilitating the excitement of self discovery.
I am also available to speak about art therapy, or the power of personal art images to groups. I can arrange a “lunch and learn” type forum, or speak using a power-point presentation depending on what you think would work best. I am very interested in opening community conversations about the benefits of art therapy.
As a member of Canada’s art therapy and psychotherapy associations I am guided by a Code of Ethics and by Standards of Professional Practice. I am a member of the Canadian Art Therapy Association and the Ontario Art Therapy Association.
